Really enjoyed it, service was great and the atmosphere was very nice, easy to hold conversation even around other diners. The food pictured are the Pimento Fritters and the Coq au Vin, both great. Highly recommend it

Birthday celebration!!! We did have reservations. Love that they have complimentary valet and he was very kind, so we made sure to tip. It's always good when you can get together to talk, laugh and enjoy great food/drinks. Even though the birthday girl wasn't feeling 100, we still had a great time. Waiter and other staff are very helpful and friendly. What I originally wanted was no longer on the menu, so I tried bone in coq au vin recommended by the waiter and turned out to be very delicious. I didn’t care too much for dip, but the chicken and mash were very, very delicious. The crimson sunset was also very good if you like fruity drinks. Everyone else enjoyed their selections, which I sampled, but really didn't like the ribs too much. The salmon was good so may try it next time. Fyi they do have complimentary bread, but you have to ask for it. The decor of the restaurant was very nice as well.

My husband and I went for our anniversary dinner. We did have reservations and was seated at a good table with a view of the kitchen. Megan was our amazing server. She recommended a vegetarian meal for us, so even though the restaurant isn't a vegetarian restaurant. I ordered the sweet potato soup that had a slightly spicy flavored, and a walnut and portabello mushroom pate. Then we both ordered the same entrée, which was the lentil loaf with a veggie rice pilaf, and sautéed carrots. It was all amazing. The desserts made the evening. The chef was gracious enough to come out for us to thank her for thinking about providing vegan and vegetarian dishes. We plan on coming back to Birmingham just to return to the Galley & Garden.

10/10. This is one of my family’s favorites. We come here for every special occasion. It never disappoints. I only snagged photos of the desserts we ordered, the bread pudding is always my personal favorite. I get the shrimp and grits as my entree and it is the best in BHAM!

We have been considering Galley and Garden for a few months, and we finally decided to make it our date night destination. We were not disappointed! Our server, Lauren, was incredible and knowledgeable about the menu items. We ordered the fried green tomatoes, the short rib pot pie, and the fish of the day, which was redfish served over lobster risotto. Everything was delicious!

If you're looking for a great dinner spot, this is it! We had a wonderful time. My wife ordered the pork shank with mashed and sweet potatoes, and I had the scallops with Alfredo pasta and asparagus. The kitchen did an amazing job—all our food was cooked to perfection. Make sure to save room for dessert, because the bread pudding is an absolute must-try! We had a fantastic experience and can't wait to go back.

My wife and I were trying to find a good location for our 25th Wedding Anniversary dinner and my wife happened to see the Galley & Garden as we drove by it a few nights prior to our anniversary. After going to this restaurant, we both were so pleased to have chosen it. The complimentary valet service is extremely helpful since where the restaurant is located there is not enough parking at that location and the vehicles are parked at another location. Once we walked into the restaurant the fine dining ambience is clearly visible. The Maitre'd was very nice and wished us a happy anniversary. The location of our table was quaint and perfect for the occasion right next to the clear window view of the kitchen. Megan was our waitress and she was extremely helpful with providing the specials for the evening and suggested the special sweet potato soup along with our choice of the portabello mushroom and walnut pate for our appetizers. The pate was delicious and something we would not ordinarily eat due to normal pate being of animal products. The sweet potato soup was delicious as well and was a bit spicy like it had an Indian spice in it. Megan also provided us non-alcoholic champagne for our anniversary celebration. For our entree my wife and I selected the lentil loaf which is a vegan dish with carrots and a rice pilaf containing edamame and carrots. The pilaf had a bit of the same spice as the soup and the whole dish was delicious. For dessert my wife and I had the herbal tea with a white wine poached pear with a scoop of acai sorbet and a tuxedo cake which has multiple layers of different chocolates. During our meal the Maitre'd and owner checked with us to see how our experience was along with our food. The bus girl was very attentive and continously refilling our water glasses and taking away our empty plates. After we finished our meal and had paid, the chef came out and spoke with us and we advised we had thoroughly enjoyed our meal and thanked her for providing vegetarian/vegan options to the menu. The chef stated she always wants to have something available for everyone on the menu. The chef has done a great job in doing exactly that. When we come back to Birmingham we definitely will make time to visit the Galley & Garden again.
